Dynamics 365 for Talent: Hire to Retire with Dynamics


Having the ability to attract the very best potential employees is hugely important to every business. With a landscape as competitive as the one we currently find ourselves in, hiring the right people and standing above your competition is key. As part of the standard Dynamics 365 product set-up, an offering of standalone modular recruitment apps is available for Dynamics 365 for Talent. Included both as an app or within the full Dynamics 365 for Talent suite, is Attract.

Dynamics 365 for Talent’s Attract piece allows companies to run an end-to-end recruitment process, from posting jobs to screening candidates and scheduling interviews. It also offers integration with LinkedIn, enabling you to view candidate LinkedIn profiles and message them on LinkedIn from within the Dynamics platform itself for more efficient talent sourcing. Talent’s core focus is on giving a collaborative recruitment team all of the tools necessary to hire, as well as ensuring a candidate is managed through a transparent process within the candidate portal.

The Attract Experience gives you the option of creating a single job or multiple jobs at the same time through an Excel template.

Once you have created the job opening, it’s onto the most important part, The candidates. Following a simple data entry process, candidates can be added manually or added in bulk from excel. If a LinkedIn profile has been specified, information can be pulled into an applicant’s record from their profile.

An area of core focus for Dynamics 365 for Talent is the transparency of the process for your candidate, allowing the candidate to be a part of the process. Through regular emails such as the example below, sent automatically when an application is logged to a job.

Another way that Dynamics 365 For Talent makes your recruitment lifecycle easier to manage is the job overview area. When within a job record, a hiring manager can see the current active and inactive rejected applicants at a glance, as well as the stage of the process that they are at.

In order to manage an application, your recruitment team can use the four key stages of the attract process to track information and move each applicant through the stages.

Stage 1: Application

This allows documents such as a covering letter and CV to be uploaded to the application. With a built-in Document viewer, your hiring team need not waste time switching apps.

Stage 2: Screening

The first point of contact with the candidate allows recruiters to request availability (below), choose the members of the team involved and submit feedback on the candidate. Candidates have a way to view job application progress through the external login functionality that allows logins through Microsoft, LinkedIn and Google accounts.

Stage 3:

Further scheduling capabilities allow an in-person interview to be scheduled as well as more in-depth feedback such as strengths and weaknesses and a recommendation for hire or not. Collaboration with your recruitment team also allows you all to schedule multiple interviews for each candidate.

Stage 4:

Finally, an offer can be extended with a personalised message such as agreed start date, salary and managerial reporting. It is important to note that at any stage a candidate can be rejected if necessary.
